Wedding Day Count-Down

This sheet provides an aide-memoire to those involved in the detailed planning for that most special day – a Wedding. It suggests a variety of beauty and associated treatments for the Bride, the Mother of the Bride, the future Mother in Law, and perhaps, the groom too. To aid you in your planning we have also suggested a schedule. Please remember that all good beauty salons, and we are no exception, get booked up some way in advance, especially if a home visit is called for, so please think about booking early.

Clearly we provide a lot of options, and our full price list gives details of all our current range of treatments. The selection outlined below is designed to help you both look and fell good on the day and for your honeymoon. Certainly if you take up some of these options you’ll look better, feel better and be more relaxed than if you don’t give any thought to pre-wedding beauty preparation.

Trial Wedding Make-up - book this for a month before your wedding – just in case you want to change your mind about the colour scheme.

Wedding Make-up on the Day – we will be happy to visit your house (or other relatively local site) to do your make-up on the day of your wedding. Please book this well in advance to ensure we have an appropriate slot!

Pre Honeymoon tanning – our vertical tanning system will provide you with a golden glow for the day and help protect you from sunburn if you are off to sunnier climes for your honeymoon. We recommend a course of sessions for 1 or 2 months (dependant on your skin colouring) running right up to just before your wedding.

Waxing – wax away unwanted hair and ensure silky smooth legs for the weeks you are away by starting a regular waxing programme several weeks before your wedding. Have the last one 3 – 4 days before the wedding.

Facials – Similarly, we recommend a number of full facials prior to your wedding day. Pre wedding stress can play havoc with your skin, but regular facials will help to reduce this. Consider up to six sessions about 3 weeks apart.

Slendertone – this is quite simply a fantastic machine to help improve the tone and shape of a variety of muscle groups. It really can make a tremendous difference if you need to reshape any particular area. Depending on the scale of any problem, this should be started no less than 2 months before the wedding.

Massage – normal or aromatherapy massages are excellent ‘stress busters’ and will help release any tensions to help you be calm and relaxed on your big day. Try one earlier on in your programme and book one for a day or 2 before the wedding.

Manicures, Pedicures and Nail extensions – attention to these important areas not only help you look good, they also make you feel better and more confident. Book the last of these as close to the wedding day as possible.

Please feel free to telephone us or to call in and visit us in Thorley for a discussion and further detail about any of the above, or to discuss similar programmes for Bridesmaids, Mothers and Mothers in Law.
